Impulse Transformation Journey

Women Empowering Women in Logistics

In the midst of vessel capacity allocations 🚒and shipping routes pricing, life brought me my first female mentor Kornelia Tiede while on my very first internship.

Besides demonstrating excellent know-how abilities within the shipping industry, she taught me that people could be both strong and disciplined πŸ’ͺ while also remaining kind and nurturing.

Now, thinking back, with us being part of a group of young women, I believe she was attempting to protect our hashtagauthenticity and provide us with a feeling of hashtagbelonging in the sometimes-daunting business world.

I was not fully aware of just how big her achievements were 20 years back, having led a business unit in a foreign country for over a decade, especially considering that only 5 out of 100 hashtagwomen occupied leading executive positions at the time. She was part of that 5%!🀯

I want to express my hashtaggratitude towards her and the people that made my internship possible at Hapag-Lloyd Miami, which finally introduced me to my very first chapter in Supply Chain in the best possible way! πŸ™

I wish only the best mentors for every young person in their early career steps. It’s now up to us to stay hashtagempowering those around us and keep paying it forward.

Do you remember your first mentor?
